How the hell am I supposed to feel safer with D. Reed Freeman, of Gator Spyware fame, being appointed to the Department of Homeland Security’s “Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee?” What? The government needs recommendations on installing spyware without user approval, making it a nightmare to uninstall, and abusing the user? It’s dumbass moves like this that make me wonder wonder why I have any faith in government.
