I don’t think I’ve seen a movie that funny in a while. It was a hilarious piece of satire that left me crying from laughing so hard. When it was over and everyone was leaving, I saw a bunch of 10 year olds there, with their parents. The movie contained puppets having sex (in a ton of “positions”), pretty violent and graphic (yes… graphic in a puppetized movie) deaths, and tons of explicatives. The satire is hilarious too, they mock the CIA, the government in general, the Film Actors Guild (tons of fun with that acronym) for their member’s typical stance, and of course Michael Moore (who goes suicide bombing). So we were discussing CS1321 in CS1801 and about a third of the class said that the thought of major change came to mind when we got HW4 and HW5 in CS1321. HW5 took me 7 hours to complete. I’m just so glad it’s finished. Did I mention I submitted it 4 minutes before the deadline (technically it’s due at 9 PM - 6 hours later - if you count the grace period). I’d post the code to the *interesting* problems, but for the safety of my limbs (and grade) I think I shall pass. I miss Java sometimes, the easy stuff was easy and the hard stuff was hard. In Python, the hard stuff is easy and the easy stuff is hard.

So my XBox is now modded (no hardware modifications, all software modifications). Once I figured out how to get SMB to point at my G5, all went well. I fixed the movie trailer script to reflect a change in how apple formatted the webpage, and that is another AWESOME feature. The thing grabs RSS feeds from xbox-scene.com and parses them as headlines. I got the NES emulator working, it had every game I could think of for the NES, everyone seems to like the old school games- including my roomie who’s playing one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games. The next thing to get working is the N64 emulator with Super Smash Brothers and other old school classics. The thing streams movies really well from my computer, they look awesome too since they run at the lower resolution of the TV. It’s quite awesome. Oh and I just read that Halo 2 collector’s edition will include 2 months of XBox Live service, which means I don’t have to drop any cash on that (Christmas is right about that time).
Well I just committed a horrible sin against Microsoft, I ran Linux on my XBox.
I spend about an hour and a half today trying to embed my gallery in the site’s normal appearance, but ended up with an implementation that only had the tabs. Thanks to Adam dropping by, freaking out my roomie, and telling me about how he spent all day trying to do the same thing coincidentally with FreshmanCouncil.com’s forum. It all boiled down to dumbest thing ever: <div style=”clear:both” />. Which in non-nerd speak means “clean up.” So feel free to visit The Gallery [Dead Link - Moved to Flickr] in matching B.com style.
