Joe sent me an email (with picture!) asking if I’d seen the Futurama episode with the “Hey TiVo! Suggest this!” tagline. ![]()

English 1101 is a very interesting class. We’ve got a lively discussion going about schools and corporations. The loudest voices were the extremists, of course. They didn’t seem to understand the need for a compromise (in this case, regulations that would place limits on what private funding could do to impact the education system- such as preventing or pushing a school to stop teaching about globalization). What’s funny is that it’s the same discussion that was started on Friday, today was just a more heated version. I got my DVI to Video (SVideo and Composite) adapter today. It was delivered early this morning, but I didn’t get the slip in my mailbox until after 3. I remembered that it was here about 30 minutes before the package pickup place closed. I ran to my 6:05 class after spending the first amount of money on my BuzzCard outside of laundry. $1.25 for Coke, what a rip. I’m gonna grab something from the Student Center Commons using some of the bonus card money I have after class tomorrow. Amazon is being really freaking slow about shipping out the Star Wars DVDs that I used my $50 gift certificate from my Palm purchase on. Now that I can connect my G5 to the TV, I can watch movies on it. Oh, really good news
I was able to setup my 5.1 sound system in the dorm. Halo and TV sound great on it. I need to test out on of the Matrix movies on it. ![]()
So I just flipped on Futurama, since my Tivo gets it whenever it comes on. At the beginning of every episode they have some kind of little phrase or quote. The one for this episode proclaims, “Hey, TiVo!Suggest this!” I think that how I ended up Season Passing Futurama, I found it in the recommendations.
I’ve been soaked so many times today that I can’t count anymore. Stupid hurricanes/tropical storms. Oh did I mention soon-to-be hurricane Gene Jeanne? Grrrrrr. I need some music recommendations, so recommend something to me. I read an article on CNN.com a week or so ago about stopping hurricanes. One idea was to nuke them, I think that may be something to explore ![]()
No, it’s not really better. West siders can get over themselves, the only thing they have over East is bigger rooms and better showers. And what the heck was that crappy ice cream? Brittain definitely has better ice cream.
