Dreamhost (my host, thus host to all my leaches- tart and capo) suffered a massive DDoS attack and took out everything for most of the day :(. Things are back up now. It was debilitating without access to email, luckily email has a pretty good fallback system, so I’ll get anything sent to me during the outage. This month has been the month from hell for them, SQL db got too large and starting crashing central services (I have my own webmail installed, not an issue really). But we had another 6 hour or so outage this month too (router infighting or something). Hopefully, its just a fluke. Moving everything is a nightmare (and finding a decent host is even harder, especially when me and Zollo looked at cheap dedicated solutions). Enough of my boring prose….
I got declined from UGA! and I don’t give a crap. [UGA] Faculty Admissions Committee regrets to inform you that we will not be able to offer you first-year admission. They have foozball players who can’t pass an idiot proof coaching test (go read the article in one of your parents magazines), they have some nasty political struggles, have a crummy computer science program according to Joe, they were a backup school, and of course, lets not forget, I’M GOING TO TECH. BOO YAH! Good night.

Yesterday we got our big, fluffy, white cat Kiwi shaved as he was in great need of a haircut as his fur was getting matted. When he gets home, our other cat Jar Jar (aka The Queen) freaked out and thought it was another cat since she is a short haired Persian that has never had a haircut. She been freaking out since, running around the house and flanking Kiwi wherever he goes. It’s almost comedic sometimes that way she acts.
My cat was on crack or something. She ran across the couch, but not on top, on the SIDE of the couch. It was Matrix-style, insane. Perhaps I should rename the cat “Trinity.” :p
Saturday was a suck fest for me. But today totally kicked it up a notch. I went over to Tart’s after he called me just before I was going to Khols. Skipped Khols and went to Tart’s. We watched some of his funny videos. He had the freakiest picture ever on his computer. I’d post it, but it’s just wrong. We went to Wendy’s for lunch, had an interesting conversation. I had an extra double cheeseburgers so we decided to go over to Zollo’s. Didn’t whore anything while we were there, but talked about stupid people. Then we went back to Tart’s where I moved him to Thunderbird and set it up to check all his accounts, kill spam better than Outlook Express, and *attempted* to get SMIME setup for him. Had some problems, IE doesn’t play notice with Thunderbird. I’ll figure it out though. Then I left Tart’s and met up with the family unit at Rosa’s for dinner. Jacob called me during dinner (Zelda ring tone), but I sent it to voice mail since I was eating. I went home, Jacob called and said that Mike, Ramez, and him were going over to Joe’s for Sopranos and asked if I was in. Went over and picked up Jacob, went to Joe’s. Good times. Took Jacob home, and just finished watching my Tivo’d Alias. Oh, and to make things better, I had the G35 today :). Ohhhh yeahhhhh.
Today was crazy enough alone with paranoia about my research paper and the odd schedule. I think I did well on that math quiz. The bonus was the hardest part :laugh:. The research paper took forever, I was up until one. However, I think it came out pretty well for a rough draft. Ugh, spam is starting to increase. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t use a catch all address (justaboutanything@bellmor.com) that sends all email to me. Tons of these “increase visitors” crap. Mail.app catches it, but I don’t yet have it trained well enough to sent junk straight to my junk folder. Soon though, it shall be.
Finished my Research Paper (all but one little source). I’ll get the source in the morning, it’ll be a snap. Tomorrow looks to be a very slack day :). Good for me. Joe seems to be getting harassed by the media center Nazis. They found someone else’s directory in his own directory (which they JUST noticed after a semester, so they’re just trying to retaliate). It’s from when a bunch of us did open house and someone couldn’t login (after hours), but Joe could (SWAT). So Joe got it to work. He outta get an SSL certificate for his server so they can’t start poking around in his email. I could always host a secure SquirrelMail install for him ;). Wow, it’s 1:18 AM, time to sleep.
At last, I have my Tivo. It’s a pathetic 40 hour unit, but I’ll be modding it soon with Joe’s help ;). I wish it had dual tuners, like the DirecTivo (not that I could use it without another receiver). Very sweet though. 
I won a free DVD player. Worth ~$90. I won it in December, but didn’t know what it was (I thought it was a phone). It’s from a Cingular text messaging contest. 
Since some of you haven’t heard this, I though I’d make sure it gets syndicated. Joe: What comes around, goes around. A MILLION times better with Beth. LOL! :D.
