Busted. As expected, SCO was lying. Big surprise. Still awaiting my G5. Burner and DDR RAM will be here tomorrow.

Man, today just made me mad. Everything was goin’ great till I get to my math class!!! I’ve had it with that *freaking* class. I feel like im in a special ed class. No offense to kids in special ed classes, but I mean the kids in that class act so stupid and then the teacher…holy crap…the teacher. I feel like I need to hit my head against a concrete wall several times in order to bring myself down to the classes intelligence level. She works soooo slow. SHe spent the entire period today going over four problems from a warm up that we had so we didn’t get to do jack with the lesson. Plus she’s just plain stupid. When we don’t understand something she explains it in the exact same way she did before and thus makes the entire class stupider than they were before. I swear, I have brain cells dying just from the stupidity level in that class. Then sometimes we’ll be sitting there working out a problem and people won’t understand how she got say…for example, the number. Then they spazz out about it and they don’t realize that the number ten was ALREADY IN THE PROBLEM. GEEZ…it’s times like that I wish they hadn’t made things against the rules! MAN!!! ok im done ranting now….
Ordered my new burner today, it’ll beat my G5 most likely. Take a look (52x/32x/52x):

Zollonet is massively unW3 compliant. 370 errors to be exact. Once I fixed Zollo’s PPC (the switcher code generating 18 errors) and a few little things on my end, my blog became w3.org compliant. Just click the XHTML button in the side bar to see. Every page you go to on b.com is compliant as it stands now. Muhahaha. Logins finally started working today, but the internet was lagtastic. My dad dropped by my room and handed me this thing he got from Cingular. It’s basically a big coupon. I’ll see what I can do with it next month. They say $100 off on select phones, hmmm…. Maybe that can drop the T616:

To an affordable $50. We’ll see, as always.
With the impending arrival of my G5, I’ve got to get a new external CD burner (one less internal optical bay). We still don’t know what’s happening with the keyboard and mouse (rumors of Bluetooth keyboard and mice were rampant). If it doesn’t come with a wireless mouse, I’m considering the Logitech MX700 as a replacement to my aging Kensington trackball mouse (the internal components catch more than they used to). I dunno if I wanna give my trackball up tho. I won’t buy another ($100 ripoff). For my CD burner, I’m looking at this. The G5 is BTO with this awesome sound system. The display isn’t getting replaced before I go to college. What else is there? I don’t think I forgot anything…. Oh yeah, gotta go shopping for two speaker stands.
Random Thought 2.0: I may have found a trackball replacement, optical too! Not wireless, but just like what I have now, but optical.
Muhahahahahahahahahaha

It’s coming. Time to order my other necessities… Don’t run Zollo, you can join the MackSide! The woman I dealt with at Cingular was stupid. My contract doesn’t end for a month, but my mom’s is up… So my mom gets the new phone and we just transfer the numbers so I end up with the new phone and she keeps what she has… “I dunno if I can do that” There goes an hour of my life I’ll never get back. IDIOTS! Oh yeah, for those of you wondering why I want/need a new cell…. Windows runs more reliably than my cell phone. Enough said…. As to why I want Bluetooth, look here.
Good weekend. Nothing to worry about (Homework, etc). Tart came over and we had our little fun. We watched the movie that will plague us until November. Using the computer speakers off to the side (USB speakers hooked up to my laptop) of the TV sounded a little odd, but we adapted. I’m going to head over to Cingular tomorrow (if my mom can go - CC required) and deal with my phone. I was talking to Zollo about it and he said I sound bad, I dunno. Luckily I can easily pay for a new phone with the money I made this weekend from editing some video. Since the link I had to the phone expires, here it is:

You “finished the job” by washing your cell phone, then throwing it in the sink. That’s just stupid, if you wanted a new cell phone so bad, just buy a new one. Like I’ll do once we’ve had our contract for a year (Late Octoberish). But no, you murder your cell (mine would have survived, which would have made me laugh like a mofo if you had my phone and tried that). How much was that desperate act? $100?
Slashdot has a good article up about the North East power grid failure. They have some interesting quotes. Deregulation hasn’t done anything good for the power industry. Rates went up in California, they had rolling blackouts, and it lead to a massive debt in there (Recall Davis anyone?). And now something simple (rumors say it was fire or lightning) knocks out a quarters of the US power grid. Someone needs to be held accountable, and there should be some massive fines. Just think of the impact its gonna have on the stock market or worse yet, the G5 production plant in New York. And parts of NYC still have no power, Detroit isn’t expecting power for another 2 days according to CNN. This is just sad, we need to overhaul the system if it was something as simple as lightning. No redundancy or load balancing? Com’on! Off to school…. With minimum day ![]()
Minimum day… Yep
Blackout in the North East… Yep
Rather odd… Yep
Yeah. Today was rather odd, wasn’t it?
It just seems to pop up every once and awhile. It just stops working, crashes, or menus lead to nowhere. Today, I realized that my ring tone was too low, 4/5 loudness. And they placed the thing that makes the ring in the wrong place, it’s on its side, so I don’t hear it very well in my car since the friggin cradle blocks the side! I’ll be rid of it soon enough, in favor of Sony Ericsson T616. Enough of my unending cell phone hate, and on to CENSORSHIP! So Adam’s blog was running a post about his new blog icon (a monkey). Adam has a massive monkey pr0n collection and I made a comment. He deleted it. Blarg! You would do well to work for the CIA or NSA Adam, you could just make things disappear. Things like your foot. One of our clients got a Sony Clié TG50. It’s insane. Keyboard, bluetooth, Palm OS 5, 200 mhz processor, etc. I got the bluetooth working (30 foot range per the spec) about 100 feet away through walls and floors. It’s awesome, can’t wait to try it on my soon-to-be bluetooth phone. I’d get a Clié TG50, but have come to the conclusion (quite quickly) that my current palm does too much as it is. Meaning, no need to waste money. Oh yeah, brushed metal look, matches my computer.
