I converted one of my brother’s friends to Firebird today, his Java was being gay in IE. His reactions were so funny too.
“This is fast dude!”
“It kill popups!!!!!!!”
“THEMES!”
I must say it was funny. Enjoy Firebird Roberto!

Huzzah! Today has been a great day. Not only is there less than one week left for summer school, but I bought Cowboy Bebop: The Movie DVD. That movie rocks. If you’re a fan of Cowboy Bebop, you should get the movie. NOW. QUIT READING THIS POST AND GO TO YOUR LOCAL STORE AND BUY IT! STEAL IT IF YOU MUST! Even if you’re not a big anime fan you’ll probably like this movie cause it is anime, but it’s more than that. It’s got a great plot, great characters, great everything! oh and I also got Unlimited SaGa today! W00t! I haven’t played Unlimited Saga yet, I probably won’t get to till tomorrow, but alas…ah well I shall spend my night watching the Cowboy Bebop movie. Im going to watch it a million times. I read some of the Unlimited Saga manual and from what I read it’s not that bad of a game, of course I usually like things that aren’t exactly main stream either. SO WEEE off I got to finish watching my movie! see ya later.

What does this all mean? Joe never updates his blog
I’m so physically exhausted today. 140 was our minimum today for beats per minute. The HD Resolution picts I grabbed from the Apple Store are really nice. Beth, Jacob, and me had a great time screwing with Zollo’s mind today. First we brought up his mom. Something lead to something and he said his mom didn’t drink. “That’s because she’s not 21 yet,” I replied. He wasn’t too happy about that one. The last joke involved a water bottle and Beth got a kick out of that. And in 55 minutes, the new G5s will be revealed. Enjoy your ghetto 32 bit P4 3.2 ghz. I’ll be enjoying my 64 bit G5 1.x or 2.x ghz
My dad and I were talking about what we were going to do about new G5s. At first we were going to order new ones this by this weekend. As we thought about it more, these G5s are pretty expensive. And considering we won’t have Panther until the end of the year to take full advantage of the 64 bit chip, will my dual 1.25 G4 be faster? I also have to buy an external burner, since the thing has only *ONE* optical bay compared to two in my current tower. What about speed? How fast is this chip really? The tests they used to compare the G5 to the G4 were all things that would scream on the G5 (heavy math stuff i.e. Mathamatica). Will iChat be faster? Safari? Mail? The few games I have may not even work since they’re build for G4s. The only reason we would upgrade is because it would be a good time to do so. We’re taking the sit back and watch approach this time, we’re not going to get burnt. My dad even looked to see if we get a free upgrade to Panther and couldn’t find it anywhere, that worries me. For the money we’d spend for the new G5 for unproven performance and several downsides, I could upgrade to a 20″ LCD Wide-screen, which *would* be a clear upgrade. I was looking at graphics cards too. I was looking at upgrading from the value nVidia fx card to a Radeon 9800 but it costs 350 dollars (300 on the dual 2ghz system- it has a Radeon 9600). I was looking at upgrading because historically (other than the cube, which turned out to be a really good upgrade in the long run) I’ve taken the stock graphics card. Sure it’s great for the first few months where you can run the game at high everything and still never see sub 30 framerates, but then a next gen game comes out (like 2k3) and suddenly your computer chokes running it at Normal (The game hates outside levels on my computer card - other than Face3). And as I write this, I realize how little I care for games. Unless I can run it really well (like Wolfenstein) and never see frame lag, I don’t really care for it. UT2k3 is really nice looking and fun, but I can barely run that game at normal (I can’t run it on the cool outdoor levels and bots make it near uplayable). So if I even had a thought of getting a G5, it’d have to spend a few hundred dollars AND clutter up my desk even more with a CD burner, leaving me with NO space whatsoever. For me, I’m better off with what I have now than a new G5, maybe even the dual 2 ghz one. The loss of the 2nd optical bay is too much of a regression to me, I think I’ll pass until we have a *real* G5 with as many bays as Adam’s 500mhz MICRO ATX case (Smaller than the G5 case).
Updated for clarity
Still have to move a computer to 10.2.6 for my dad tomorrow, so I need to get started on that soon. This weekend disappeared. I was doing one of two things. I was working or helping a friend with a Mac/DSL connection. That wash did something to my cell phone that put the fear of death into it or something, because it hasn’t screwed up since it went thru the wash. BTW, bother me at all tomorrow while I’m offline (not on AIM) and I’ll friggin make you nonexistent in AIM. Back to work…..
Well…today’s been another day. Didn’t do much today except clean out the basement. I found my Dad’s old bowling ball, so I may use that next time I got bowling. I finally got my firewall fixed to where I can let people connect to me so now I can host servers and the like. But if it isn’t one thing…it’s another. I tried hosting a UT2003 server today…and well…first I had a version mismatch..then I fix it. Then it tells me it can’t find a freakin’ file! So I dunno what im going to do. Guess I won’t be able to host a server until I can find it out. Ah well…perhaps i’ll post more later.
P.S. - Go amuse yourself with something shiny.

And Apple is down for Updates again. iThink Steve is gonna have a few people “disappeared”
UPDATE: UP AND DOWN! AND AGAIN! They’re removed them once and now they’ve ADDED them back. What the hell!?
Just before iSleep update: Down. Jeez, would they please leak PowerBook specs too? I could really use those right now too.
Busy day. Got another don’t do alcohol lecture in Being Physically Exhausted. Went to work, but forgot to bring some stuff, but got some things done that needed to get done. In the process of moving Outlook Express addresses to Mail.app, I finally found a way to move them to vCards, so that was really good. Brought one computer home to get some work done on since I ran out of time today. I was about to call and cancel an order for a Radeon 9000 (For a client to use Quartz Extreme) and my UT2K3 game, but the gfx card shipped and the game followed a few minutes later. They’ll be here tomorrow. Oh yeah, I was soo tired from last night’s bowling that I didn’t empty my pockets of my wallet and cell and my mom washed clothes this morning, she caught the wallet tho. The cell got washed….. and SURVIVED! I was like “HOLY *!!!!!!!” It works fine too. How friggin ironic, the thing can’t be stable enough for normal use, but extreme conditions and it still works, WTF! Sorry aboot the jaw Clay, enjoy your recovery with some UT ;-). Oh and FTP is up and working for those of us who have accounts (all of 7 people).

I changed the blog’s name, since no one could seem to pronounce it. I changed the description, I like it more. We need suggestions for a new name, or we could always just keep “Some Blog”. I’ll post something “meaningful” later.
