Monkey

Yeah, it’s definately true. Tart is so a Monkey lover (not in the animal rights way). Tart’s Blog confirms this with multiple monkey pictures. Probably the equivalent of Monkey Porn. And even more shocking…. his Monkey Pr0n Video Collection. In other less shocking news, my (more specifically George’s Terragen “Island in the Sun”) terragen is *still* rendering after 3.5 hours (Ultra High Quality 1280×1024 slightly different, but has massively better reflections and so forth) and when it is done, I’ll post it. DNS is still propagating for some people, so you losers need to do nothing and hurry up and get a DNS server update! Oh Darth has his *legal* (Gasp) Windows 2003 Server Eval Kit and it wants to know “Would you like to connect to the internet to download drivers for your ethernet card?” Think about it for a second. And the Terragen just finsihed get it here.

Royal Bay

Royal Bay

It uses a different surface map, and I plan to play around with it more, it seems to me to lack alot of the green that should be there, but this is Royal Bay, just west of the main island that there are now three renders of. Comments on the Surface Map are ~greatly~ appreciated, including ideas on how to make it more realistic, such as “More green, less light rock..” etc.

Rand

Rand = Random. Someone was asking what my desktop looks like. Click here to download my desktop. It’s a PDF file with 2 pages because I have two LCD displays and JPGs don’t support pages. It’s on my .mac account with über amounts of bandwidth. The backgrounds were created by George. The nightime one on my second display was rendered by him. The one on my main 17″ display was rendered by me. Enjoyo

DNS Be Working

So I’ve changed the settings and things are working gooder now. Problems? Post in the comments or email me.

The sheet has hit the fan

Well, tons of problems today. Just wasted the last 4 hours trying to get DNS servers setup through freedns.com and can’t figure out how the f* to implement “RP TXT” in the DNS file. The example does have any mention of it, google finds zilch on it, and it doesn’t seem to really exist. And if I ever get to the point where I get DNS servers setup and working, I’d need to change my DNS settings at godaddy.com to point to them and make things work. I would also have to turn off Masking (what hides the IP address in the URL bar) which we paid under the idea that it would cover it up the IP address everywhere. WRONG! It only covers the index page, nothing else. For example: Masked Link shows up blank, but static IP works great. So why not just turn it off? It seems masking “credits” don’t go back to your wallet of credits for masking, you lose them! And if I ever needed to turn it back on, that’s 5.95 again for the same service I paid for a years worth of use! I will admit that godaddy will still end up being cheaper than register.com/networksolutions.com by a sizable amount even if I deactivate and reactive masking. Oh and the primary purpose of me getting this server and OS X 10.2 Server was to learn how to setup a mail server to cut costs, but a major problem has developed. AOL (The biggest ISP) has blocked email from DSL lines because they get a high percentage of “EAT SH*T AND DIE” junk email via DSL hosted mail servers, this could be a huge problem in the days to come, especially if other ISPs follow (which I’m sure they will). But once we figure out how to get DNS working, we should be set (And I’ve said that how many times over the last few days?) If you know ANYTHING about DNS, help! Comment or email

Cobb County Communists Pt. 1

Well, you knew it was going to happen sooner or later. That’s right, I now have FULL posting capabilities in El Blogo! For my first post, I will write about my experiences with satan’s puppets…a.k.a Cobb County. Here’s the situation, I hail from the town of Randolph, New Jersey, and I moved here to Cobb two years ago. When I was signing up for classes, I didn’t know at the time (nor did they tell me) that a state mandated phys-ed course was required for graduation. Years went by with me thinking that my semester of gym transferred over from New Jersey fufilled my requirements, then all of the sudden during Junior Advisement (planning senior year) my counsleor tells me that I cannot take the computer class I wanted to due to the fact that I needed to take the gym course to graduate. I immediately thought that this was a mistake, so I calmly told her that I took a semester of gym in New Jersey, but she was more than happy to inform me that those credits could not be counted because Georgia won’t accept them. After recieving this awful news, I wanted to throw up, I had next year’s schedule planned out PERFECTLY, and now it’s going to be ruined by this stupid little gym course that I already took two times over, that’s right, when I moved here I was already in gym, so instead of doing the intelligent thing and putting me in the required gym course, they put me in “Intro To Team Sports B”. Yeah, that’s right, I have now taken a total of two Gym Courses which are utterly useless…

To Be Continued in Part 2!

Protesters, Budget, Flag, Water

So I’m on a field trip to the capitol and what do we see as the bus parks? Redneck protesters calling for a return the “Confederate Battle Flag” style flag. Didn’t they get the memo? The Civil War ended over 100 years ago, it’s time to let go and let the Battle Flag go where it belongs, history books. Of course our current “Placemat” flag needs to be dealt with since it just plain sucks and looks gay. I recomend a blue flag with “Georgia” in big white letters. It’s simple, plain, and nobody can complain about it. Next I’m sitting in the House of Representatives, that was a waste. They didn’t argue, just voted Yah on everything. They did nothing but talk amoungst people, they even had their cell phones ringing! And those tards can’t figure out which of the three buttons to press because they had one person that would vote Nay and change it later. WTF!? In the Senate, people argued and nothing was voted on. They argued about *water* for friggin sakes, but it is an important issue nonetheless.

Chigga / Blarg

Well DNS is not going as easy as I thought it was going to be (I thought it would be medium difficulty). Thank Darth Zollo for his time saving advice. GOOD NEWS: Blog is available 24 hours now, not just when my Dual 1.25 is on. We’re hosting off a nice iMac G3/600, 640 RAM, 40GB hard drive, and Mac OS X Server via Apache. And now for the customary Sleeping Ritual.

This is a test…

Of my newfound powers to post on the Blog. And, in doing so, annoy the hell out of my ever forgetful friend, Darth Zollo.

First day he brings his laptop, I forget my games. Shame on me. Second day he brings his laptop, he forgets his power cord and needs to save the battery life of it. The third day he brings his laptop, he brings the switcher external drive for his computer, and his power cord, but not the module for reading CD’s.

So hopefully tommorow I will fill his Hard Drive with the games that, when installed, I will possibly play until the end of the semester, during lunch. Of course, when will the games be installed?

Depends on what Darth Zollo forgets tommorow. :)

Evil Rant

Target: Darth Zollo. So you love annoying me with the fact that I don’t have a laptop woman? I just can’t stop admiring how sleek your enormous, early 90s-style external DVD drive is, the *amazing* OS that it runs, how *great* the battery life is, the amount and type of RAM it has, how *large* your display is, or how amazingly fast it is. And wait! What’s that? It’s a DULL. Oh yeah, my new laptop will beat yours down *everywhere*, leaving it in the dust. And the fact that mine will have a nice 15″ widescreen, over 512MB of RAM, a slot-loading combo drive, integrated 802.11g and bluetooth, at least a 40GB hard drive, at least a 1ghz G4, a video card with 64 MB of VRAM (or more), Firewire800, possibly USB 2, and a REAL OS that doesn’t spy on me or want to become big brother. Oh, and it’s all in a 1 inch thick airplane strength aluminum case and might have a light detecting sensor that controls brightness and a fiber-optic backlit keyboard. Still think you’re “laptop” is king woman? :p /evil rant
